Seven people are fighting for their lives and 20 others have been injured in a crash on the Bruce Hwy in Queensland.
A bus and a caravan collided on the freeway at Gumloo, south of Townsville, just after 11am on Sunday.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman told 7NEWS.com.au 27 people were injured, including seven in a critical condition.
The Bruce Hwy will be closed for several hours at Gumlu and motorists traveling between Ayr and Bowen are urged to avoid the area or expect major delays.
