Melbourne Star Prime Minister Stephen May has revealed the lofty ambitions he once had AFL career is over.
The 32-year-old has been one of the best defenders throughout his brilliant 228-game career but will take a completely different path once he hangs up his boots.

He began his flight training eight years ago, and while he currently only flies small plans, he has his sights set on bigger ones.
“Honestly a bit on my plate, but I’m just trying to pick up pieces and then when I retire I can fully focus on that,” he told 7NEWS.
“I only fly small planes at the moment, I can only imagine what it would be like to fly one of these, so much the better.”
This week, May tried the bigger ones with a lesson from Virgin pilot Darren Gray in a 737 flight simulator.
“Flying really helped me take my mind off it,” he said.
“When you’re in the air, you don’t have time to think about how bad you played or how well you played.”
May’s efforts impressed Pilot Gray.
“He has a natural, great hand-eye coordination that you would expect from an elite athlete,” Gray said.
May is under contract in Melbourne until the end of 2025, so his pilot training will remain part-time for at least the next year.
Rather, the star defender is desperate to change the Demons’ form on the pitch.
They sit in 12th place ahead of Saturday night’s clash against lowly North Melbourne.
