A Quiet Place: The noise-oriented monsters of Day One star in a spin-off prequel set in the new York. Before heading to the cinema (preferably putting away your squeaky tennis shoes), you might want to revisit the first two films in the suspenseful horror franchise.

The priority A quiet place movies, 2018’s A Quiet Place and the 2020 sequel, Part II, follow the Abbott family as they try to survive in a world full of aliens who hunt by sound. The new installment, Day One, introduces new characters to tell a terrifying tale of “the day the world fell silent.”

Evelyn, played by Emily Blunt, clamps a hand over her son's mouth to stop any sound. Evelyn, played by Emily Blunt, clamps a hand over her son's mouth to stop any sound.

2020’s A Quiet Place: Part II continued the Abbott family saga.

Day One cast includes Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff and (hopefully silent) a cat named Frodo. Additionally, Djimon Hounsou returns to his role in Part II. You might want to re-watch this movie to brush up on his character, referred to in the credits as “Island Man”.

Unlike the first films, Day One is directed by Michael Sarnoski (2021’s Pig), not John Krasinski. The story is by Sarnoski and Krasinski. You can find tickets for Day One in theaters herebut if you’re looking for past entries in the franchise, you can see the streaming methods below.
